Dr. Lightwood Room
As an owner of Sam Noble's home in the 1920s, Dr. Lightwood made some very prominent and attractive changes to the facade of the home by adding Ionic columns to the front and side as well as adding the very unique and special cut glass transoms and front windows.
Bright and airy, this room is to the front of the home where Dr. Lightwood made his important changes and features much-admired and very beautiful antique French furnishings with a beautiful French King Bed that can also be changed to Twin beds for those who need the two beds in one room. Also featured are a dresser, chair, and make-up chest, all antique French pieces. It has the only bathroom that is separated into two sections with the front having a long vanity and wonderful sink and beyond the pocket door is a shower/tub combo, toilet, and the most interesting of sinks, a toothbrush sink that Dr. Lightwood, being a dentist, would have installed. The room looks out to the Front Porch and the mountains beyond. Pure beauty! $185 per night plus 8% lodging tax
